Beyond Tears Worldwide prioritizes teacher training, aiming to align remote village school instructors with the educational standards set by the Jammu and Kashmir Board of Education. While some teachers may hold a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree, many possess only a high school diploma. Their dedication to teaching is undeniable, yet they often lack modern educational approaches to nurture critical thinking skills. Historically, Indian education leaned heavily on rote memorization, but the new mandate emphasizes creative application of knowledge.

Our approach involves working with small groups of teachers, employing a distinctive curriculum that enables educators to engage in the skills their students will later use in real classrooms, while imparting essential values. We encourage teachers to teach out of genuine love and concern, rather than mere obligation or monetary compensation.

By emphasizing a loving and caring approach, teachers begin to transform their perspectives on students and teaching itself. We seek experienced Western educators willing to share their university-acquired teaching methods and passion for teaching through participatory training.

Join us from May 21 – June 3, 2024, for our upcoming Ladakh trip with a few spaces still available. We’ll be renovating a storefront for an upcoming café/restaurant as part of our BAM (Business as Mission) project, providing an opportunity to express Christ’s love creatively.
